Getting started
Do I need to install software?
No. Surplan runs in your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Also on tablets. You can even « install » it as an app from your browser, to have it one tap away on your home screen.
Which devices does it work on?
Desktop (Mac, Windows, Linux), tablet (iPad, Android). Mobile is technically possible but the screen is too small for comfortable measuring. We recommend a tablet for the jobsite.
How long does it take to get going?
A typical measurement takes 30 seconds. A full page 2-3 minutes. Calibration is done once per plan, in 2 clicks. No training required.
Accuracy and reliability
How accurate are the measurements?
Millimetre-precise, provided you calibrate correctly (use a written dimension on the plan, not an estimated element like a door). Accuracy depends entirely on the calibration quality.
What if I make a mistake while drawing?
Every measurement is editable point by point after the fact: move a vertex, add one, remove one. No measurement is frozen. You can also undo with Cmd/Ctrl+Z.
How do I handle openings (doors, windows) on an area?
You draw your room, then use the « Exclude a zone » tool to subtract a hole from your area. Ideal for bathtubs, toilets, stairs, built-in furniture.
Data
Where are my plans and measurements stored?
On Supabase / AWS infrastructure in the Paris region (eu-west-3). Your data never leaves French soil.
Are my plans confidential?
Yes. Each account is isolated, your plans are visible only to you. No public sharing, no indexing. Encryption is applied in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
What happens if I cancel?
Your data is kept for 30 days after cancellation (just in case). After that, it is deleted permanently. You can export it anytime before then.
Pricing and payment
What is the price?
€19 ex-VAT / month or €190 ex-VAT / year (~2 months free). French VAT added at checkout. No commitment, cancel in one click.
Is there a free version?
You get 14 days of free trial, no credit card. That's plenty to test on your own plans and form an opinion.
Do you charge associations / freelancers differently?
No, one price for everyone, it's simpler and fairer. If you're a large team (5+ users), write to us, we'll discuss.
